Dinner Table

DINING   ETIQUETTE

How to establish greater trust and profit in business?
First, learn to eat the style your guest does.

There are many occasions where your team will have business meetings or social events over a meal. The impression they make is important and can have lasting effects. For example, in Japan and Russia, making a deal over a meal is expected, and in China, understanding their tea ceremony is crucial.

A 2013 study published in Harvard Business Review shows that negotiating when dining can increase your profits – in the millions – up to 12%. In 2017, a published research paper by students at Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago determined that you establish greater trust when eating similar foods to your counterpart. And so, how do you prepare your colleagues for what's expected at the table?

Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, set them up with the right skills to know different cultural dining customs.

This training by Janika LeMaitre provides your people with the right skills to display continental-style dining for five courses.
